15253415 - Nanny & Household Manager Needed in Edina!
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Edina, MN, 55436
Children: 3 children ages 5yrs, 3yrs, and baby due in September 2026
Schedule: Full-Time, Long-Term (See description)
Salary: $25 – $30/hour (depending on experience)
Description:
A busy, welcoming Edina family is seeking a nurturing, proactive, and autonomous Nanny / Household Manager to partner with them long-term. Their number one priority is finding someone who brings joy, fun, and social interaction to their two children (plus baby on the way), while seamlessly balancing household management duties.
If you love the outdoors, believe in a screen-free environment, and are ready to become an integral part of a growing family, we want to hear from you!
The Schedule (Flexibility is Key!):
This role adapts to the rhythm of the year, making it perfect for someone who loves variety:
Summer Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
School Year Hours: Vary week-to-week based on family demands, typically:
                Option A: 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM
                Option B: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Kid-Centric Responsibilities (Priority #1):
You will be the ultimate partner in development for a vibrant 5-year-old and 3-year-old. Because this is a strict screen-free home, you’ll dive into active engagement, including:
Outdoor Play: Exploring parks, backyard fun, and enjoying nature.
Creativity & Learning: Arts, crafts, reading books, and imaginative play.
Active Fun: Swimming and keeping the kids socially engaged.
Transportation: Safely driving the children to activities (car seats provided).
Household Management Responsibilities:
When the kids are engaged or at school, you’ll shift into household manager mode to help busy parents keep their heads above water:
Laundry: Handling both the children’s and the family's laundry.
Meal Prep: Preparing healthy meals for the children and helping with overall family meal prep.
Errands: Grocery shopping and managing household inventory.
Light Housekeeping: Keeping the home tidy, organized, and running efficiently.
Who You Are:
A Joyful Nurturer: You bring energy, warmth, and fun to early childhood development.
Highly Autonomous: Both parents manage demanding schedules; they need a partner who can step in, see what needs to be done, and confidently execute it without being micromanaged.
A Great Role Model: You naturally model good behavior, kindness, and positive communication.
Experienced (In life or work!): While nanny experience is great, the family is highly open to other life experiences (teaching, parenting, camp counseling, etc.) that showcase your nurturing, responsible nature.
