Job description

Abreu Motors is a Miami-based atelier specializing in air-cooled Porsche 911 restorations and bespoke commissions, focused primarily on the 964 and 993 platforms.

We are seeking an experienced air-cooled Porsche mechanic with a strong mechanical foundation, disciplined work habits, and deep respect for craftsmanship.

This is not a dealership or flat-rate service role.
This is precision mechanical restoration and assembly work where fit, finish, and execution matter.


Core Responsibilities

  • Full mechanical disassembly and reassembly of 964 / 993 donor vehicles and commissioned builds
  • Engine-out services, drivetrain removal and installation
  • Mechanical restoration of suspension, braking, and steering systems
  • Engine installation and support of high-performance air-cooled builds
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical systems during the build process
  • Collaborate with fabrication, paint, and final assembly teams
  • Work within build schedules and production milestones without compromising quality
  • Maintain workshop organization, parts accountability, and documentation standards


Ideal Experience

  • 5+ years hands-on mechanical experience preferred
  • Direct experience with air-cooled Porsche platforms strongly preferred
  • Porsche, classic European, restoration, or performance-build experience highly valued
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, tolerances, and assembly procedures
  • Experience with engine builds, engine-out services, or full vehicle reassembly is highly desirable
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and manufacturer drawings
  • Fabrication experience is a plus
  • Classic restoration experience is a plus


Requirements

  • US work authorization
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
  • Personal professional-grade tools
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
  • Mechanical awareness and respect around high-value vehicles
  • Organized, methodical work habits
  • Ability to take direction, ask questions, and work closely with a small team
  • Willingness to work overtime when required

Compensation

$30–$45 per hour
Compensation based on experience, capability, and air-cooled specialization.
