WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Consultant in Automotive Quality Engineering, you will take ownership of challenging quality topics at leading OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers and drive measurable improvements across products, processes, and supply chains.
  • Drive quality excellence in automotive development and production projects at OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers.
  • Analyze product and process quality issues using structured problem-solving methods (e.g., 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa).
  • Support supplier qualification, APQP activities, and preparation of PPAP documentation.
  • Implement and improve quality engineering methods (FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA).
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and secure program milestones.
  • Assess supplier performance, identify risks, and ensure quality standards across the supply chain.
  • Prepare and present project results, quality reports, and management summaries.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing, development, and industrialization projects.

WHO YOU ARE
  • You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
  • You have 3+ years of experience in Automotive Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality, Product Development or related technical roles.
  • Solid understanding of quality standards such as IATF 16949, VDA 6.x, or equivalent.
  • Confident handling of APQP/PPAP, FMEA, and automotive problem-solving methods.
  • Strong analytical thinking with hands-on problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills to translate complex technical issues into clear actions for diverse stakeholders.
  • Additional qualifications in quality management (e.g., IATF, VDA, Six Sigma) are an advantage.
  • Confident and empathetic in working with suppliers, engineering teams, and management levels.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate risks and drive issues to sustainable resolution.
  • Structured and solution-oriented approach, even under time pressure or in dynamic project environments.
  • Ability to build trust quickly and navigate cross-functional team settings.
  • High sense of ownership paired with a hands-on attitude in operational quality topics.
  • Curiosity and willingness to continuously learn, challenge assumptions, and improve ways of working.
  • Continuous learning mindset with interest in further training in quality and automotive standards.
  • Fluent in English; German and Spanish are a plus.
