Job description

Alpha Retail is seeking a full-time Automotive Technician to join our onsite team in Seattle, WA.

Position Summary

The Automotive Technician will perform skilled diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to keep vehicles operating safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong focus on quality workmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, handling routine service as well as complex repairs, while maintaining thorough documentation of work performed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose vehicle issues using established inspection and testing procedures to determine required repairs

  • Perform maintenance and repairs across automotive systems, including brakes, suspension, electrical, and engine components

  • Conduct quality checks to verify repairs are completed correctly and meet safety standards

  • Maintain accurate records of service work, parts used, and inspection findings

  • Follow shop safety practices and ensure tools and equipment are used properly

Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience as an automotive technician with hands-on diagnostic and repair skills

  • Ability to read and interpret basic service and repair documentation

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills across common vehicle systems

  • Commitment to safety practices and careful workmanship in a shop environment

  • Professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members

Preferred Qualifications
  • ASE certification(s) or equivalent automotive credentials

  • Experience working with a variety of vehicle makes and models

  • Track record of consistent quality standards and timely completion of service tasks

  • Familiarity with standard shop inspection processes and preventive maintenance practices

Compensation

Annual salary: $50,000.00 - $95,000.00
