Job description

Job Summary:
SCD Information Technology is currently seeking a full-time Systems Engineer 2 to join their dynamic and growing team to support an important Intelligence Community customer. The role involves supporting the User Experience team by collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance the usability of intelligence products.
Responsibilities:
• support the User Experience (UX) team
• collaborate with developers, managers, and system engineers to ensure intelligence products remain modern, cutting-edge, and highly usable
• research and document user workflows
• design intuitive front-end systems
• create mockups
• engage with users for feedback
• work closely with multiple development teams to enhance analyst tools
Qualifications:
Required:
• An active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required to start.
• 14 years with a Bachelor’s in Computer Science (or related field) or 19 years without the degree.
• Experience in each of the usability and software engineering cycle phases.
• Experience creating user interface design specifications through researching and documenting user requirements including profiles, frequent tasks, workflows, and user scenarios while working closely with application developers.
• Experience directing/conducting usability testing.
• Proficiency in one or more design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, XD, and PenPot.
Preferred:
• Certifications related to Human Factors Engineering or Human Centered Computing are a plus.
