Job description

Summary

While performing duties related to St. Clair Hospital, this position is responsible for  assisting the surgical team before, during and after surgery by performing various tasks, including but not limited to stocking supplies, draping, instrumentation handling, and instrument counts.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. High school graduate or equivalent.
  2. Meets one of the following:
    1. Completion of an accredited surgical technology program and certification as a surgical technologist. Recent graduates must obtain certification within 6 months of completing the surgical technology education program.
    2. Successful completion of a surgical technology training program in the US Army, Navy or Air Force.
    3. Work experience as a surgical technologist and active surgical technology certification.
    4. EX years of experience as a surgical technologist and active surgical technology certificaiton.hnician rmployment with St. Clair Hospital as a surgical technologist on or before December 28, 2020, in accordance with PA Act 80 of 2020.
    5. Employment with a healthcare facility, practicing surgical technology as the primary function, at any time during the 2 years prior to December 28, 2020, in accordance with PA Act 80 of 2020.
  3. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).

Preferred Qualifications

  1. One to three years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
