Play a key role in supporting CarMax Auto Finance

The Analyst II of the Credit Bureau Reporting and Software Configuration Team provides analytical and technical support for key areas of CarMax Auto Finance (CAF) business. This person provides analytical support for key processes such as credit bureau reporting as well as the configuration and management of our credit decisioning system, ARGO.

What you will do

  • Perform analysis on credit bureau reporting & ARGO configuration strategies to recommend system changes; including partnering with stakeholders to implement and test changes.

  • Leverage their deep understanding of the Alfa system to analyze its role and impact on the credit bureau reporting processes.

  • Execute of testing on system changes/releases (Alfa) for any credit bureau reporting component and implement automated regression testing.

  • Design, configure, test and validate requested changes to the ARGO system as needed by the Risk team.

  • Partner with dependent (upstream & downstream) technology teams to ensure ARGO configuration changes function properly in the CarMax Financing ecosystem.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, in an analytical, mathematical or technical major preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience in an analytical role

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency with computers and database systems and/or software packages preferred (ex: Python, SQL, Excel, SAS)

  • Knowledge of the following coding, tools and concepts preferred: 

    • General Code Writing (e.g. Defining Variables, If/Then Statements, For Loops, Function Writing, etc.)

    • Test Planning and Execution (Test Case building, Unit Tests, Regression Tests, Automating Testing, etc.)

    • Version Control Methodologies (e.g. GitHub)

    • SQL (e.g. Snowflake, SQL Server Management Studio, etc.)

    • Database Schemas, Data Migration and Scripting

    • Security and Data Protection, Security Compliance & Data Storage Solutions

Work Location and Arrangement: 

This role will be based out of the CarMax Auto Finance office (Kennesaw, GA).  Associates will work onsite 4 days per week.

OR

This role will be based out of the CarMax Home Office (Richmond, VA) and associates will work onsite 4 days per week.

Work Authorization:  Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Sponsorship will not be considered for this specific role.
