Certification in Business Education and/or Computer Science area preferred; however, Bibb County is a Strategic Waiver District. Alternative Certification routes are available to individuals with a degree from an accredited institution.

This position plans and provides for appropriate learning experiences for students and provides an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of individuals to ensure achievement and performance for every child.

    • Responsible for instructional delivery of Information Technology / Programming / Computer Science pathways including Digital Technology, Computer science Principles, Programming and AP Computer Science.
    • Works with leadership to develop and deliver Information Technology / Programming / Computer Science courses as appropriate to the respective student populations.
    • Recruits new students into Information Technology / Programming / Robotics/ Computer Science program.
    • Performs other duties as required based on the specific content area taught (such as content-area competitions, after-hours activities, and so on).
    • Plans and coordinates purposeful assignments for paraprofessional(s), other supporting staff, and volunteer(s), and provides input to the administrative staff on the performance of these individuals.
    • Performs other duties as required by the District, the school, or student need.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited college or university required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Knowledge of student growth and development
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents related to safety, technology, and educational procedures
  • Ability to prepare and communicate effectively through written reports, lesson plans, and correspondence
  • Skill in computing and interpreting data, including rate, ratio, and percent calculations
  • Proficiency in PC operations and software applications, including word processing, databases, and spreadsheets
  • Capability to serve as a liaison with various professionals and effectively collaborate with parents and guardians
  • Capacity to adapt instructional strategies and provide accommodations to meet individual student needs
  • Strong physical capability to manage classroom and student needs, including potential crisis intervention situations
CERTIFICATION, LICENSE AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to obtain clearance certificate from GaPSC. Salary/Terms/Benefits:
  • 190 day work year.
  • Salary based on certification and experience; placement on the Adopted Salary Schedule and position supplement(s).
