Salary: $62,000 - $85,000

St. Johns College High School is seeking a Science Teacher to begin in August of 2026.

The ideal candidate is passionate about science education, committed to academic excellence, and eager to contribute to the mission and community of a Catholic, Lasallian college preparatory high school.

The Science Teacher will foster a rigorous and engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, collaboration, and scientific inquiry while supporting the academic and personal growth of students.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned science courses in accordance with departmental curriculum and school standards.
  • Develop engaging lesson plans, laboratory activities, assessments, and instructional materials.
  • Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technology to support student learning.
  • Assess and monitor student progress and communicate effectively with students and parents regarding academic performance.
  • Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and classroom records.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, retreats, and school events.
  • Support the mission and values of the school through active involvement in the school community.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, counselors, administration, and parents to support student success.
  • Supervise students during assigned duties, activities, and events as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Science or a related field required; Masters degree preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $62,000$90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
