We are seeking a Product Tester to join our Information Technology team in Irving, TX. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In the role of Product Tester,you will have the opportunity to:
  • Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
  • Perform comprehensive testing across web and mobile interfaces, APIs, services, and databases to validate functionality, identify regressions, and ensure overall product quality and reliability.
  • Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test plans, test cases, and scripts based on product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and real-world user scenarios.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, track, and retest software defects, partnering with development teams to support timely resolution and continuous quality improvement.
  • Collaborate with developers, product designers, and product owners to promote testability, usability, performance, and mission-aligned user experiences throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Leverage AI, automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and other industry-standard tools to improve testing efficiency, accuracy, coverage, and the speed and reliability of software delivery.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What are the qualifications?

As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related degree and three (3) or more years of software testing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of software testing principles, SDLC, and Agile frameworks, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing across web, mobile, and API layers. Skilled in test planning, execution, and evaluation, with experience in test automation tools (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Postman, JUnit).
  • General knowledge of web/mobile technologies, databases (SQL), performance testing, AI-assisted testing, and QA tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr) to support high-quality, mission-aligned product delivery.
  • 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, an opportunity to meet and complete the requirement is available upon hire.
