Job description

Federally Qualified Health Center is looking for a Family Nurse Practitioner / FNP or Physician Assistant / PA to work in a primary care setting located in the Asheville, NC area!

  • Founded in 1993, this FQHC got its start serving the community with a HIV health program and over the years have expanded to include primary care while continuing to support the HIV population.
  • In 2016, this health center achieved the Patient Center Medical Home certification from the National Committee for Quality Assurance demonstrating their commitment to providing high quality primary care.
  • 3 locations in the state of North Carolina along with a mobile clinic


Benefits and Features:

  • $102,000 - $125,000 / year
  • Opportunity for quarterly bonuses
  • Comprehensive benefits package - medical, dental, vision
  • 40 hours of leave for CME
  • PTO,11 Holidays, and 2 floating holidays

Your Role with the Company:

  • Full-time, M-F 8am-6pm
  • Call once a quarter
  • FNP/PA will see 18/20 patients per day
  • APP will work in a primary care setting with emphasis on chronic disease management, understanding of acute care management, and urgent care needs - joint sprain, simple procedures (I&D, laceration repairs)


Background Profile:

  • 1+ years of experience in primary care as Family Nurse Practitioner / FNP or Physician Assistant / PA required
  • Board Certified Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
  • Current NC state license
  • Current DEA certification
