Description
Position Summary: Support the Prototype Lab in daily activities with the assembly of
prototype (sales and engineering) seats and general mock-ups using aluminum, steel, wood and foam...etc. Technician II will operate machines to create/modify prototype parts/assemble.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:
  • Assist Prototype, Sales, and CDR Seats in developing new seats and/or parts.
  • Build proto-type or mock-ups with aluminium, steel, wood, foam board
  • Operate one or more of the following machine 3-Axis Mill, Lathe or 3D printer.
  • Operate all the Prototyping lab supporting machinery including vertical saw, shear, chop saw...etc.
  • Assemble and reassemble development test seats.
  • Ballast Dynamic test seats
  • Operating Forklift
  • Understand blueprint drawings and tolerances
  • Must be able to work well with hand tools (files, sanding, painting, wrenches, air tools, etc.)
  • Maintain clean organized working environment, ensuring that accountability for tooling and material is maintained.
  • Assist in new design projects providing necessary support to meet completion dates.

Requirements
Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Requires 4-7 years of relevant work experience
  • Creative mind set to help develop new concepts
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment
  • Open minded, willing to learn, and must be okay with constant change.
  • Good attendance record
