Job description

QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR

Advantech Industries Inc. is a family-owned manufacturing company based in Rochester, New York, specializing in CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and assembly services. The company, founded in 2002, serves multiple industries, including defense, medical, and aerospace, and operates out of a 250,000-square-foot facility.

We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector to ensure products meet quality standards and customer requirements throughout our manufacturing process. This position will have a strong focus on performing inspections, conducting measurements and testing, documenting results, identifying nonconformances, and working closely with production personnel to support quality and continuous improvement initiatives.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Using open plate inspection methods, verify parts to print to ensure that the initial set-ups for production meet specifications.
  • Perform in-process inspections, which consists of routine checks on the manufacturing floor to catch defects early and to maintain quality standards.
  • Final inspections performed by the Quality Control Inspector consist of a thorough evaluation of finished parts before release for shipment to our customers.
  • Accurately document inspection results, nonconformances, and quality-related findings in accordance with company procedures.
  • Communicate quality concerns to production personnel and supervisors to facilitate timely corrective action.
  • Maintain inspection equipment and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control required.
  • Experience with sheet metal, CNC machining and/or welding required.
  • Strong GD&T skills.
  • Experience with calibration is a plus.
  • Skills to operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Preparedness to stand for extended periods, lift items, and operate equipment.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.

According to the New York Pay Transparency law, pay range for this job is $25.00 - $35.00 / hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
