Job description

Quality Control Inspector I – Entry Level

KrisDee & Associates is looking for an entry-level Quality Control Inspector I to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for inspecting machined parts, verifying product quality, and helping ensure that customer requirements and KrisDee’s quality standards are met.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has basic inspection or manufacturing experience and wants to build a career in quality control within a precision CNC machining environment.

Position Type: Full-Time

Classification: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Quality Director

Pay Range: $18–$22/hour, based on experience

Schedule: Monday–Friday, with overtime as needed

Key Responsibilities

Inspect, test, and measure machined parts and materials to verify conformance to customer specifications.

Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, bore gages, and other inspection equipment.

Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.

Assist with CMM measurements and inspection documentation.

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and basic tolerances.

Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and report quality concerns to the Quality Director.

Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation.

Assist CNC Machine Operators with gaging and measurement techniques.

Help maintain final inspection criteria and quality standards.

Clean, maintain, and properly handle measuring instruments and test equipment.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Support corrective action and continuous improvement activities as needed.

Perform other related duties as assigned by the Quality Director.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

1–2 years of inspection or manufacturing experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Ability to read blueprints and use basic shop math preferred.

Experience using precision measuring equipment preferred.

CMM experience is a plus, but not required.

Basic computer skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Good communication skills.

Reliable, organized, and willing to learn.

Ability to work well with machinists, operators, and quality team members.

Work Environment

This position is performed in a manufacturing environment. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, machinery, coolant, oils, airborne particles, vibration, and loud noise. Proper safety procedures and personal protective equipment must be followed at all times.

Physical Requirements

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands to handle tools or parts, and reach with hands and arms. This position may require lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to 50 pounds.
