Position Overview

Advocate Healthcare Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist, specializing in mindfulness-based interventions, to join our team in Bend, Oregon. Work Environment

This role will be predominantly remote, allowing for flexibility while still ensuring comprehensive support to your clients. You'll be engaged in a collaborative virtual environment with other mental health professionals, where ideas and practices are regularly shared to enhance our collective approach to therapy. Communication will be facilitated through telehealth platforms, enabling you to maintain a close relationship with clients and colleagues alike.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough initial assessments to identify individual clients' stressors, mental health challenges, and personal goals, crafting tailored mindfulness practices to suit their needs.
  • Deliver mindfulness-based interventions, including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), to assist clients in achieving relaxation and enhancing their overall mental well-being.
  • Guide clients in mindfulness exercises, incorporating techniques such as meditation, deep breathing, and self-reflection to strengthen self-awareness and promote emotional balance.
  • Facilitate engaging group workshops and classes that focus on mindfulness, stress management, and resilience-building strategies, creating a supportive space for shared experiences.
  • Integrate mindfulness practices into individual therapy sessions, addressing specific mental health concerns while promoting overarching personal growth.
  • Collabòrate with other healthcare providers to ensure a comprehensive treatment approach that considers all aspects of a client's mental health journey.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of client progress, interventions, and treatment plans, ensuring continuity of care and adherence to best practices.
  • Engage in regular self-reflection and ongoing professional development to deepen your expertise in mindfulness practices and therapeutic interventions.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve clients from diverse backgrounds who are seeking support for various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and stress-related disorders. By focusing on a mindfulness-based approach, you will empower clients to manage their challenges effectively and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications
  • A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is a prerequisite for this position.
  • Valid and current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within the state of Oregon is required.
  • Strong communication skills, fostering a calm and supportive environment for client interaction.
  • A commitment to professional ethics and patient confidentiality.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience or training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) techniques is preferred but not mandatory, as we value eagerness to learn and grow.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in integrating mindfulness into therapeutic interventions for a holistic approach to mental health.
  • A history of working within community health settings or similar environments that prioritize accessible mental health care.
Compensation and Benefits
