The 10-3 rule for ADHD refers to a strategy where individuals focus on tasks for 10 minutes, then take a 3-minute break to improve attention and reduce distractibility. This technique can be useful for professionals, including those conducting ADHD testing, to manage focus during assessments or work tasks effectively.

Skills like adaptability, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently are beneficial in these roles.

How much do ADHD assessors get paid?

ADHD assessors, often healthcare professionals such as psychologists or psychiatrists, typically earn between $50,000 and $100,000 annually depending on experience, location, and work setting. Job description

FARLEY-MANNING FAMILY GUIDANCE SERVICE TESTING PSYCHOLOGIST
Lucy Daniels Center for Early Childhood
9003 Weston Parkway
Cary, NC 27513
OVERVIEW
The Lucy Daniels Center is the largest 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency provider of mental health services for children in the Greater Research Triangle area of North Carolina. Founded in 1989, the Center specializes in integrated psychodynamic and psychoanalytic approaches and provides clinical treatment to more than 500 children yearly through a range of programs.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Psychologist, Psychological Associate, or School Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team in a non-profit outpatient clinic and therapeutic school/day treatment setting. The successful candidate will conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for children and adolescents, utilizing tools to evaluate ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, anxiety, depression, and other psychological and developmental concerns. There is extensive mentorship and clinical support in an environment grounded in a highly collegial and team-based approach.

Lucy Daniels Center is a truly unique entity in this country. It is unusual to have a community of 17 clinicians (clinical social workers, psychologists, and psychiatrists) with great commonality of clinical perspectives working together in a close team approach. The Center also has a nationally recognized therapeutic elementary school; our clinicians provide psychotherapy in the school and work closely with the school team, providing another unique opportunity to understand a child in depth from multiple perspectives.

We are currently in the process of constructing a state-of-the-art new building to house an expanded Farley-Manning Family Guidance Service that will not only substantially increase the number of clinicians, but also bring LDC to another level of integrated care, as we will have a variety of developmental services such as speech pathology, occupational therapy, and educational specialists to contribute to our expanded, holistic approach, responding to the unique and varied needs of every child. We welcome your interest in joining our vibrant community. Hiring for this role is ongoing, and applicants are encouraged to apply at any time.
LDC’S SERVICES INCLUDE:

  • Therapeutic classrooms for preschool through Grade 5 children at the Lucy Daniels School.
  • Farley-Manning Family Guidance Service, providing onsite therapy for children and their parents.
  • SecurePath, a comprehensive in-home mental health service for children birth-5 years old. SecurePath is delivered in conjunction with Wake County SmartStart’s initiative to ensure that emotionally at-risk young children have early intervention services to better prepare them for success in school and life.
  • Lucy’s Link, providing observations and assessments for young children in the community.
· Resources and Support, Lucy Daniels Center skilled staff provide parenting groups, social skills groups, observations and assessments, caregiver workshops and support groups, and teacher training across North Carolina in partnership with organizations like the Psychoanalytic Center of the Carolinas.
