Responsibilities

We are seeking a Junior Accountant I – Accounting Specialist to join our accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, accounts payable, account receivable, payroll and time administration, month-end close activities, general ledger functions including account reconciliations while also ensuring adherence to policies, applicable law and regulations, procedures, and internal controls. This role reports directly to the controller.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support accounts payable activities, including processing of vendor invoices, account reconciliations and ad hoc analysis as needed

• Support reviewing employee expense reports and backup documentation for accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures

• Support accounts receivable activities, including preparing customer invoices, assisting with compiling backup documentation, account reconciliations and ad hoc analysis as needed

• Support time administration and payroll activities as needed

• Support general ledger accounting activities, including account reconciliations, schedule preparation, account reconciliations, and ad hoc analysis as needed

• Support bank and credit card reconciliations

• Support month end close processes as needed

• Assist with financial reporting, ad-hoc support, analysis of accounts, preparation for audits both internal and external

• Ensure compliance with internal policies, government regulations and accounting principles

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience

• Approximately 1 to 3 years of elevant accounting / finance experience

• High proficiency in MS Excel

• Analytical and problem-solving skills including data interpretation

• Ability to work with a diverse and geographically distributed team

• Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to work independently and be responsible to follow up on action items

• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills

WAGE INFORMATION

Target salary range: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00.  The salary range displayed is an estimate only and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements.  The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
