We're looking to hire a talented Inventory Control Associate based in Denton, Texas.
Reporting to the Distribution Supervisor, the Inventory Control Associate is responsible for driving the heartbeat of the Distribution Center by executing critical inventory tasks that ensure precision, speed, and seamless material flow. Supports and elevates team performance through hands-on training in inventory movement processes, while championing system accuracy and quality control. Conducts proactive audits and plays a key role in delivering error-free, on-time outbound shipments that keep operations running at full throttle
Primary Duties
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular reconciliation of physical inventory and system inventory records.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory variances, root causes, and transaction discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory locations to ensure proper storage, identification, and material traceability.
  • Execute inventory adjustments in SAP or other warehouse management systems following established procedures and approval processes.
  • Support receiving, put-away, replenishment, and inventory transfer activities to ensure material availability.
  • Analyze inventory trends and identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
  • Assist with annual physical inventory counts and support external or internal audit requirements.
  • Verify inventory transactions related to inbound receipts, outbound shipments, returns, and production consumption.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Customer Service, Production, and Logistics teams to resolve inventory-related issues.
  • Monitor aging, obsolete, damaged, or slow-moving inventory and provide recommendations for disposition.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Generate and maintain inventory reports, KPIs, and performance metrics for leadership review.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, and process efficiency.
  • Perform location audits and slotting optimization to maximize warehouse space utilization.
  • Assist in training warehouse personnel on inventory processes, system transactions, and best practices.
  • Participate in investigations involving customer shortages, shipping discrepancies, and inventory claims.
  • Maintain proper documentation and transaction records to support SOX, ISO, FDA, UL, or other compliance requirements where applicable.
  • Support implementation of process improvements and corrective actions resulting from inventory audits and quality findings.
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications
  • Fluent in English (read, write, speak)
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Knowledge and experience with RF guns preferred
  • Heavy order fulfillment experience preferred
  • Prior Inventory Control experience preferred
  • Forklift experience preferred (reach truck, order picker, electric pallet jack, dock stocker)

Working Conditions
  • Must always wear Personal Protective Equipment 'PPE' in the plant (hi-vis vest, steel-toed shoes, safety glasses)
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team
  • Personal computer skills - SAP, Microsoft Office, Ship Exec, PPG
  • Must be willing to operate forklift equipment, working at heights of up to 30 ft
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Leadership capability
  • Ability to apply and use required forces (i.e.: 60 lbs. of material lifting) repetitively
  • Excellent work record (i.e.: Attendance, Attitude and Productivity)
