The Store Manager (Developing) is a hands‐on leadership role designed for an individual who is ready to grow into full store management responsibilities. Reporting directly to the Owner‐Operators, this role focuses on learning core operational, people leadership, and business management skills while leading daily store operations. With structured support and coaching, the Developing Store Manager will build the capabilities needed to independently manage the store over time.

Position Summary

The Store Manager (Developing) is a hands‐on leadership role designed for an individual who is ready to grow into full store management responsibilities. Reporting directly to the Owner‐Operators, this role focuses on learning core operational, people leadership, and business management skills while leading daily store operations. With structured support and coaching, the Developing Store Manager will build the capabilities needed to independently manage the store over time.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Operations & Guest Experience

  • Lead day‐to‐day store operations, including opening and closing shifts

  • Deliver friendly, high‐energy guest experiences aligned with Jeremiah’s brand

  • Ensure products are prepared accurately and consistently

  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain all equipment to ensure proper operation, food safety compliance, and product quality at all times

  • Assist in resolving guest concerns, seeking guidance from ownership when needed

  • Maintain overall cleanliness, food safety, and operational standards

Team Leadership & Development

  • Supervise and support team members during shifts

  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team members

  • Help enforce policies, expectations, and performance standards

  • Foster a positive, respectful, and team‐oriented culture

  • Learn how to provide feedback and handle performance conversations

Scheduling, Cash & Inventory Support

  • Assist with staff scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage

  • Support accurate cash handling, drawer counts, and deposits

  • Help manage inventory counts, ordering, and product rotation

  • Learn how labor, waste, and inventory impact store performance

Manager Development & Owner Partnership

  • Work closely with Owner‐Operators for coaching and development

  • Learn key aspects of store financials, reporting, and KPIs

  • Support local marketing efforts and community engagement

  • Gradually take on increased responsibility as skills and confidence grow

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in food service, retail, or hospitality preferred

  • Initial leadership or shift‐lead experience strongly preferred

  • Strong customer service mindset and communication skills

  • Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow into a leadership role

  • Dependable, organized, and proactive

  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs

  • Comfortable working in a cold‐food service environment
