Job description

Quality Control Team Lead - 2nd Shift

The Operations Lead (QC) is responsible for overseeing daily quality operations to ensure parts, materials, and processes meet customer, company, and regulatory requirements. This position leads quality inspections, sorting, audits, containment activities, and corrective action initiatives while supporting third-party sorting and inspection providers. The QC Lead works closely with Operations, Inventory, and Kitting Operations to resolve quality issues, drive continuous improvement, and maintain inventory and process integrity.


Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2nd Shift - Expected schedule for 2026 and 2027:

Until August 2026 = 6am-2:30pm (Training)

August 2026 = 11am-7:30pm

September 2026 = 2:30pm-11pm

October 2026 until 3rd shift starts in 2027 = 4:30pm-1am

Once 3rd shift starts = 2pm-10:30pm

(Rotating weekends and overtime may be required) (Schedule is subject to further change based on production requirements)

Team Lead Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead quality control activities to ensure compliance with customer, company, and regulatory requirement
  • Facilitate quality inspections, and report to Quality Specialist and Management
  • Investigate quality concerns, nonconformances, and customer complaints to identify root causes
  • Conduct quality audits of processes, materials, inventory, and finished products
  • Coordinate containment activities for defective or suspect materials to prevent customer impact
  • Provide oversight and performance monitoring of third-party sorting, rework, and inspection, productivity and compliance
  • Support customer visits, audits, and quality-related inspections
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on defect reduction, process stability, and operational excellence
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as required to support QC
  • Conduct safety observations and promote a proactive safety culture
  • Support engineering changes (EO), and process validations to ensure quality requirements
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to QC inspections, safety, and quality observations
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications for Team Lead:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • WMS and/or SAP experience
  • MS Office: Excel, Power Point, Word
  • PIC and Material Handling Equipment
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and recognize when and how to effectively collaborate with others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly focused with excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
  • Ability to safely use and operate Powered Industrial Vehicles in accordance with company Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing up to 50 lbs., depending on the location, throughout shift.
  • Able to work in a warehouse environment for up to 8-hour shifts, and any overtime hours if applicable.

The estimated hourly payrate for the Team Lead is $26.80 an hour. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that GLOVIS EA reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.
