What is a full stack web application developer?

A Full Stack Web Application Developer is a professional who is skilled in both front-end and back-end web development. They are capable of designing, building, and maintaining the user interface (client side) as well as the server, database, and application logic (server side) of web applications. Full Stack Developers typically work with a range of programming languages, frameworks, and tools, such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Node.js, Python, and SQL databases. Their broad skillset allows them to handle the entire development process, from concept to deployment. This makes them valuable team members in both startups and large companies.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a full stack web application developer?

To thrive as a Full Stack Web Application Developer, you need strong proficiency in both front-end and back-end programming languages (such as JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and frameworks like React or Node.js), as well as a solid understanding of databases and web architecture. Familiarity with version control systems like Git, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS or Azure), and relevant certifications can enhance your technical toolkit. Excellent problem-solving skills, adaptability, and effective communication help you collaborate across teams and respond to evolving project requirements. These skills ensure you can build, maintain, and scale robust web applications that meet user and business needs.

How does a full stack web application developer typically collaborate with designers and back-end engineers during a project?

Full Stack Web Application Developers often act as a bridge between front-end designers and back-end engineers. They participate in cross-functional meetings to ensure that user interface designs are technically feasible and align with server-side logic. Agentic Product Engineer | Mid - Senior | Full-stack | Saily

Nord Security

Warsaw, IN โ€ข On-site

$120 - $180/hr

Job description

At Saily, weโ€™re removing the hassle of staying connected while traveling โ€” no roaming fees, no plastic SIM cards, just lightning-fast, secure mobile data in 200+ destinations. Saily has millions of paying customers and hundreds of thousands travelers browsing through Saily at any given moment.

To build the best product for our customers, we foster AI-native Product Engineering culture, where:

- The Engineer is the builder, who is responsible for solving customer problems end-to-end (idea to production)
- AI Agents are the enablers who write most of the code and solve repeatable tasks to help the Engineers maximize their impact
- Everyone contributes to making Saily effective by suggesting new areas for improvement to delegate to agents and then implementing the changes
- Curiosity, learning and sharing are everyone's responsibility
- Customer, having a comfortable, connected, hassle-free journey is never lost from the focus

We value growth over comfort, contribution over hierarchy, and impact over process. At Saily, we believe in giving sharp people context, autonomy, and AI as their multiplier to allow them to just do their best work.

Main Responsibilities
  • Own problems end-to-endโ€”from idea to production

  • Deliver features without relying on fully defined or perfect specifications

  • Work directly with product, design, data, and other engineers

  • Operate in small, highly autonomous teams

  • Use AI agents for specifications, coding, analysis, testing, and iteration

  • Deliver 2x the output of a non-AI using Senior Engineer

  • Improve our internal agent network and development workflows

  • Move across the stack when needed

  • Focus on user and business outcomes, not output

Core Requirements
  • Proven experience designing, building, and deploying AI-native tools or applications within an organization, which has seen measurable, successful adoption

  • Proven experience building full-stack features across mobile or web applications (frontend + backend)

  • Comfortable operating with minimal guidance and with no initial acceptance criteria

  • Strong product mindset: focus on problems, outcomes, and impactโ€”not just tickets or tasks

  • 5+ years of development experience building something real (product, system, tool, startup, side project, meaningful feature)

This is a hybrid position requiring office attendance 3 times a week - Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
