What is a full stack teaching assistant?

Full Stack Teaching Assistants are professionals who support instructors and students in learning environments focused on full stack web development. They assist with both front-end and back-end technologies, help clarify concepts, provide feedback on assignments, and may lead lab sessions or office hours. Their role often involves troubleshooting code, mentoring students, and facilitating effective learning in coding bootcamps or educational programs.

What are the main responsibilities of a full stack teaching assistant?

As a Full Stack Teaching Assistant in a coding bootcamp, your daily responsibilities include supporting students during lectures and hands-on coding activities, clarifying course material, and providing feedback on assignments. You'll collaborate closely with lead instructors to help design and deliver lessons, facilitate small group discussions or code reviews, and assist in troubleshooting technical issues students encounter. Additionally, you may help monitor student progress and provide one-on-one mentoring to ensure learners are keeping up with both front-end and back-end concepts.
