Neros Technologies

Torrance, CA • On-site

Full-time

Re-posted 18 days ago

Job description

Who we are
Neros is a defense technology company rebuilding America's drone industrial base. We design and manufacture high-performance unmanned systems that are tested in combat, iterated at startup speed, and built at massive scale. Our team culture is fast, hands-on, and obsessed with closing the gap between design and deployment.
As drones transform the character of warfare, Neros is delivering the systems the West needs to compete on the modern battlefield and deter the adversaries of democracy. We're hiring engineers, operators, and builders who want to move fast, take on extreme ownership, and get capability into the hands of warfighters in months, not years.
What you will be doing
The Full Stack Software Engineer is a key technical owner at Neros, responsible for taking critical internal and customer-facing software tools from concept to production. You'll leverage strength across the stack - modern front-end frameworks, desktop application development, and back-end services and data systems - to design, build, and ship robust tools. You'll make architectural calls, own delivery against deadlines, and hold a high bar for performance and reliability.
You should have the following
  • 6+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Proficiency with React / React Native, Node.js, TypeScript, plus related linting and testing frameworks
  • Experience building web and desktop applications (e.g., NW.js or Electron)
  • Hands-on proficiency with Python; experience with Django, Flask, or similar frameworks
  • Strong foundation in relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases; familiarity with caching (e.g., Redis or Memcached); understanding of ORMs and time-series databases
  • Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and microservices
  • Experience automating testing and deployment using CI tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
  • Strong computer science fundamentals (data structures; writing reusable, extensible code)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal instruction; strong communication skills to support multiple teams
  • Experience with container orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes or Podman

Nice to have
  • Experience with container orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes or Podman.
  • Bazel build system
  • Time-series / telemetry data experience InfluxDB, Graphana
  • FPV / drone domain knowledge

US Salary Range
$145,500 - $204,500 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are considered part of Neros' total compensation package.
