Job description

Auria is looking to hire a Full-Stack Developer to design, implement, and maintain software solutions supporting mission-critical SATCOM and defense systems. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both front-end and back-end development, contributing to robust, secure, and scalable applications. This role is HYBRID (3 days/week) in Colorado Springs, CO.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:
  • Front-End Development
    • Design and build modern, responsive user interfaces using React.js, TypeScript, and related frameworks.
    • Translate UX/UI designs and wireframes into high-quality, functional components.
    • Implement state management and API integration using React Query, Redux Toolkit, or similar tools.
    • Optimize applications for maximum speed, usability, and accessibility across devices.
  • Back-End Development
    • Develop and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Java (Spring Boot)Design and manage data models and persistence layers with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
    • Integrate with existing enterprise systems, ensuring data integrity and secure communication.
    • Implement authentication and authorization using OAuth2, JWT, or SSO mechanisms.
  • DevOps & Integration
    • Collaborate with DevOps engineers to deploy, monitor, and maintain applications within Docker/Kubernetes environments.
    • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins) for automated testing and deployment.
    • Support testing activities, including unit, integration, and performance testing.
    • Participate in Agile development cycles, sprint planning, and code reviews.
  • Documentation & Collaboration
    • Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation for APIs, modules, and system configurations.
    • Collaborate closely with system engineers, cybersecurity specialists, and UI/UX designers.
    • Contribute to architecture discussions and technology evaluations

WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:

  • 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development.

  • Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with Git, Agile/Scrum, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience developing applications for defense, aerospace, or mission systems environments.
  • Knowledge of secure coding standards (OWASP, NIST 800-53).
  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure) and infrastructure automation.
  • Exposure to digital engineering or model-based system design (MBSE) approaches.
  • Active DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
