Job description

Summary
The role of the Senior Software Engineer (Java / Microservices) is to design, build, and support scalable backend services and APIs, while enabling reliable cloud-based deployments and contributing to end-to-end application delivery across distributed systems. This position focuses on developing robust microservices and APIs, supporting cloud environments, and driving automation through modern DevOps practices. The individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities
• Architect, develop, and maintain microservices using Java and Spring Boot frameworks
• Design and support RESTful and SOAP-based APIs for system integration
• Deploy and manage applications within cloud environments, ensuring performance, scalability, and uptime
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration, testing, and deployment
• Partner with engineering, product, and front-end teams to deliver cohesive full-stack solutions
• Diagnose issues, perform debugging, and continuously improve system performance and reliability

Required Qualifications
• 6 -10 yrs strong experience with Core and Advanced Java, including Java 1.8+
• 2 years Hands-on minimum experience with Python development
• Proven expertise in Spring Framework and Spring Boot
• Hands-on experience designing and working with microservices architectures
• Solid understanding of relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB)
• Experience developing and integrating REST and SOAP services
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab)
• Exposure to event-driven architectures and tools such as Kafka
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks (nice to have)
• Strong foundation in software testing practices

Location

  • This role is a Hybrid role that requires candidate to go onsite 3 days in office/2 days remote. Candidates are preferred in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Candidates must reside within the physical US.

The compensation range for this position represents our good faith estimate of the range we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, education, work location, and internal equity.

In addition to hourly pay, employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commissions, or other incentive programs, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, etc.
