Job Description

We are seeking an Application Programmer III to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in full-stack Java development, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and modern front-end frameworks such as Angular and a proven ability to deliver secure, scalable, and performant web applications within a microservices and container-based architecture.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end web applications using Java and modern front-end technologies.

Build and maintain RESTful APIs, backend services, and integrations with external systems within a microservices, container-based architecture.

Develop responsive and dynamic UI components using frameworks such as Angular.

Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code and perform code reviews.

Ensure application quality through unit testing, integration testing, and debugging.

Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.

Collaborate with Technology Managers, product managers, delivery leads, and feature teams. Engage with business product owners and end users during planning and demos.

Contribute to the Treasury Viewer application with focus on tech modernization, performance improvements, and new product onboarding within the Interest Rate Risk Management framework.

Deliver features aligned to agreed requirements and acceptance criteria.

Build reliable, secure, and scalable applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful web APIs, JSON, and full-stack development.

Experience with containers, microservices, cloud concepts, and secure coding principles.

Frontend experience with Angular or AngularJS and UI frameworks such as Bootstrap.

Hands-on experience with OpenShift (Red Hat OpenShift), Unix, Kafka, Jenkins, Git/Bitbucket, and Splunk.

Database knowledge, including Oracle Exadata.

Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.

Accountability and ownership when addressing technical challenges.

Experience level: 7+ years as a full-stack Java developer.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with data analytics or modeling.

Financial services domain exposure, including Capital Markets, Hedging, and Cash Management.
