Project Manager - Heavy Civil Construction – Drive Excellence in Heavy Civil and Commercial Construction

The Opportunity You will take total ownership of high-stakes civil and heavy construction projects, moving them from initial planning to final closeout with precision. This role offers the autonomy to lead multi-million dollar federal and commercial builds while working for a company that values drive and self-motivation. You will be the central pivot point ensuring technical excellence, financial health, and client satisfaction.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Orchestrate the full lifecycle of commercial and government civil projects to ensure delivery on time and within budget.
  • Execute comprehensive project schedules and resource allocations to maximize field efficiency and equipment utilization.
  • Manage complex project budgets and financial forecasting to maintain high profitability across all assigned builds.
  • Facilitate seamless communication between field crews, subcontractors, and federal or commercial stakeholders.
  • Resolve critical project bottlenecks and logistical challenges through proactive problem-solving and strategic planning.
  • Monitor site safety and quality control standards to ensure all work exceeds industry and government regulations.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of dedicated project management experience within the construction industry.
  • Proven track record of managing construction workflows, budgets, and schedules for large-scale projects.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and the ability to work independently in a high-pressure, results-oriented environment.
  • Strong professional communication skills necessary for high-level client and subcontractor negotiations.
  • Ability to travel to and work onsite on projects along the RT 70 corridor, from Battlement to Vail and surrounding areas, and at the main office in Silt, Co.
