The Role and the Team

IWMS (Institutional Wealth Management Services) is seeking a Full Stack Engineering Leader to drive development and enhancement of client-facing Trading capabilities.  This role will be responsible for delivering high-quality technology solutions through close collaboration with architects, technologists, and business partners. As a technical leader, you will play a critical role in resolving complex challenges, ensuring timely and accurate product delivery, and contributing to the IWMS strategic mission.  As a key member of the technology leadership team, you will help foster a high-performing engineering culture built on innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You'll champion an inclusive and energized environment, elevate leadership across all levels, and promote alignment with enterprise standards while empowering your teams to succeed.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Experience leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing people and teams in a geographically dispersed agile organization.

  • 7+ years of technical hands-on experience building scalable enterprise applications including UI, API, Database, and Cloud.

  • Practical experience with software engineering fundamentals and tools such as requirements analysis and documentation (Jira), system design, API integration (SOAP/REST), cloud architecture, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins), version control (GitHub), agile and scrum methodologies, stakeholder communication, and aligning technical deliverables with business goals.

  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and drive delivery.

  • Brokerage experience and familiarity with Trading capabilities strongly preferred.

  • Technology leadership, critical thinking, and influencing skills across diverse organizational structures.

  • Strong commitment to quality, documentation, and engineering excellence.

  • Proven experience in technical design and estimation, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and governance controls.

  • Broad knowledge of technology standards and best practices including accessibility, design principles, security, reliability, resilience, performance, etc.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships at all levels of the organization.

  • Decision making experience using a data-focused approach in day-to-day leadership situations and strategic tradeoff analyses.

  • Intellectual curiosity and passion to learn new skills and model a culture of continuous learning, mentoring, and coaching.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
