Job description

Position Title: Full Stack Web Developer (Front End Focused)
Company: Reef Capital
Salary: $90,000-$120,000
Location: Lehi, Utah

About Reef:

Reef is a Utah-based vertically integrated investment and development firm founded in 2005. Reef's team is currently involved in some of the most prominent development transactions in Utah and other targeted geographies across the United States.

Built on two decades of success, our investment approach combines proven expertise with purposeful innovation. Reef's team has completed more than 500 transactions across all lines of business. In addition to our real estate investment strategy, Reef and/or affiliates own and operate various businesses that add significant long-term value to its projects. We have grown rapidly, growing from about 25 employees to well over 400, with managed assets on behalf of over 750 institutional and individual partners worldwide.

With the motto "Expect the Best," Reef's most prominent developments include Black Desert Resort, a $2 billion luxury resort in Ivins, Utah; Marcella, a luxury private golf community in Park City, Utah; Tributer Resort, Virginia's newest premier private lakeside golf destination; Cornerstone Club, a 5,000-acre residential community, private club, and resort in Telluride, Colorado; Sweetens Cove, a renowned and evolving golf destination nestled in the Tennessee Valley; and the restoration of the historic Coco Palms Resort in Wailua, on the island of Kauai, Hawaii.

Our culture is defined by a shared set of principles that guide how we think, collaborate, make decisions, and pursue success together. This mindset serves as the foundation for the five principles that define how we work together: first, we are One Reef, always prioritizing the success of the whole over individual agendas; we speak candidly and respond collaboratively; we move in solidarity once a decision is made; we take full accountability for outcomes in our domain; and we refuse to settle for anything less than extraordinary. These aren't aspirational values posted on a wall. They are the behaviors we hire for, develop, reward, and exhibit each day. Candidates who thrive at Reef bring energy, ownership, and a genuine commitment to raising the bar on everything they touch.

Position Summary:

Reef is looking for a motivated Full Stack Web Developer with a primary focus on front-end development to join our technology department and grow alongside our internal development team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career developer to take real ownership while learning from experienced engineers.

In this role, you will help design, build, and maintain Reef's portfolio of project, brand and destination resort websites. You will partner closely with our marketing team to deliver high-performing marketing sites primarily within HubSpot CMS, while also contributing across the stack to internal applications and product initiatives such as ReefAccess and other AI-driven projects.

The ideal candidate is a versatile, eager developer who enjoys crafting responsive front-end experiences and is excited to grow into building the back-end services, integrations, and automation that power them.

Responsibilities:

Website & CMS Ownership

  • Own, build, and maintain Reef's portfolio of resort and project websites (e.g., BlackDesertResort.com, Marcella.com, CornerstoneClub.com) across their full lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain custom HubSpot Themes, Templates, and Modules using HubL, HTML5, CSS3/Sass, and JavaScript/ES6+.
  • Develop dynamic content using HubDB, create blogs and landing pages, and manage multisite setups across multiple brand properties.
  • Establish governance for domains, redirects, user permissions, content settings, and brand consistency across all sites.

Front-End Development & Architecture

  • Translate wireframes and design systems into pixel-perfect, accessible, responsive front-end experiences.
  • Implement modern front-end patterns (e.g., modular SCSS, BEM, component-based architecture) and build React (or comparable framework) components where appropriate.
  • Lead technical scoping for website migrations, rebuilds, and new launches; ensure scalability, performance, and SEO.
  • Use Git and the command line for version control and local development; leverage modern build tooling (e.g., Webpack, Vite, Babel).
  • Implement robust QA and cross-browser testing with clear release processes and documentation.

Full Stack & Application Development

  • Contribute across the stack on internal and product web applications such as ReefAccess.com, working with the Technology dev team on features, fixes, and enhancements.
  • Build and maintain back-end services, APIs, and data models (e.g., Node.js and/or Python) to support both marketing sites and internal applications.
  • Support AI-driven initiatives, integrating and building on top of large language models and AI agent frameworks (e.g., Anthropic Claude) to deliver new capabilities and internal tools.
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and participate in code reviews and technical planning with the development team.

Integrations & Automation

  • Build and maintain integrations using HubSpot APIs (CRM, Engagements, Objects, Webhooks, OAuth) and other third-party platforms.
  • Configure workflows, custom objects, and associations to support marketing and sales operations.
  • Deliver custom code (Node.js/Python) or leverage iPaaS tools (e.g., Zapier, Make, Tray, Workato) for data synchronization and automation.
  • Design for data integrity, error handling, retries, logging, and monitoring performance issues and data drift.

Optimization, Analytics & SEO

  • Ensure Core Web Vitals and page speed performance targets; optimize mobile-first and accessibility (WCAG AA).
  • Implement technical SEO (structured data, sitemaps, redirects, canonicalization) and collaborate on content SEO.
  • Instrument analytics (HubSpot, GA4, Tag Manager); run A/B tests and iterate based on conversion data.

Collaboration & Support

  • Partner with Marketing, Design, and the Technology team to translate requirements into sustainable technical solutions.
  • Create easy-to-edit modules for non-technical users; provide training and documentation.
  • Manage backlog and execution using Agile practices (Scrum/Kanban); communicate status, risks, and timelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website, HubSpot, and application issues across CMS, CRM, and internal systems.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of professional web development experience (internships, personal projects, and bootcamp work considered), with a solid front-end foundation and interest in growing full-stack skills.
  • Hands-on HubSpot CMS (Content Hub) development experience preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science/IT or related field
  • Portfolio of live websites and/or web applications demonstrating semantic, performant, production-quality code.
  • High proficiency in: HTML, CSS (Sass/Less), JavaScript/ES6+, and responsive front-end development.
  • Proficiency with a modern front-end framework (React preferred) and component-based architecture.
  • Exposure to back-end development with Node.js and/or Python
  • Familiarity with building custom Themes, Templates, and Modules in HubSpot CMS, or a strong willingness to learn HubL and HubDB.
  • Exposure to or interest in AI / large language models and AI agent frameworks (e.g., Anthropic Claude) preferred.
  • Strong ability to use logic and data to design sustainable, long-term solutions; meticulous organization and attention to detail.
  • Clear communication and task management skills; a self-starter with initiative and dependability.
  • Solid understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, SEO, and page performance.
  • Experience with Git, CLI, and modern build tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite, Babel).

Company Benefits:

  • 401(k) Plan with Company Match
  • Generous Health Plan with HSA Match
  • Flexible Paid Time-off
  • Daily Company Lunches
  • Cell Phone Service Allowance
  • Discounts at Company-owned Resorts and Golf Courses
