Familiarity with frameworks like React, Angular, Node.js, and tools such as Git, Docker, and CI/CD systems, as well as relevant certifications, are often required. Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and adaptability help you collaborate across teams and manage complex projects. These skills are crucial for building, deploying, and maintaining robust, scalable applications that meet business needs.

How do Full Stack Engineers typically collaborate with UX/UI designers and backend specialists on a project?

Full Stack Engineers frequently act as a bridge between UX/UI designers and backend specialists, ensuring seamless integration of front-end interfaces with server-side logic. They participate in cross-functional meetings, translate design requirements into functional features, and address technical feasibility from both ends. This collaboration often involves code reviews, regular communication to clarify requirements, and agile workflows to ensure that user experience and system performance are both prioritized throughout the development process.

Job description

Full-Stack Engineer

Job Title: Full Stack Software Engineer - Irvine, CA (Hybrid)
Salary: $90,000-$135,000/year
Requirements: 3-6 years of full stack engineering experience, C# .NET, React or Vue.js, SQL, AWS, daily use of AI coding tools
We are a well-established fintech company operating at global scale, serving both consumers and businesses with currency and payments solutions across multiple markets. Backed by a publicly traded parent company, we are in the middle of a full platform rebuild, modernizing the technology layer behind our core products. We are small enough that your code ships fast and your decisions matter, but large enough that the problems are real-scale and the impact is immediate.
We are looking for a mid-level Full Stack Engineer who likes owning problems end-to-end, from API design and frontend experience through to backend services, production reliability, and launch. You will write code that moves money in production, build and modernize the platform across the stack, and ship customer-facing features as we rebuild our platform layer.
What you will be doing:

  • Build and ship features across the stack spanning onboarding, payment initiation, FX, settlement, and supporting services
  • Own your services in production including reliability, observability, on-call, and incident response
  • Ship customer-facing features from the interface through to the services behind them
  • Partner with product, design, and compliance from problem framing through launch
  • Use agentic AI coding tools like Copilot, Cursor, and Claude Code daily across prototyping, refactoring, testing, and documentation
  • Help modernize the platform by migrating parts of legacy services into the modern stack

What we need from you:

  • 3-6 years building production web applications end-to-end
  • Strong frontend proficiency in React or Vue.js
  • Strong backend proficiency in C# .NET; other OOP languages welcome such as Java, Kotlin, or Go
  • Solid SQL and relational database fundamentals
  • Production AWS experience, hands-on with SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, and Lambda
  • Writing and maintaining tests as a standard part of how you ship
  • Daily use of agentic coding tools such as Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent

Bonus skills:

  • Payments, FX, or regulated-industry experience
  • Microservices and service-oriented architecture
  • CI/CD and modern deployment practices
  • Caching solutions such as Redis or Memcached
  • API testing tools such as Postman or Bruno
  • Jira and Confluence

What is in it for you:

  • $90,000-$135,000/year
  • Hybrid schedule, Irvine, CA
  • Medical, dental and vision insurance
  • 401k with company match
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan
  • Paid vacation and sick leave
  • Tuition assistance
  • Wellness and mental health support
  • Volunteering day for a charity of your choice
