Job description

DevOps Engineer

The DevOps engineer we are looking for needs to have core software engineering skills along with DevOps. An ideal candidate would be a good general software engineer (preferably full stack) with tremendous experience with DevOps.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure smooth and reliable application building, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Manage and administer Linux systems, building system initialization and configuration scripts as needed.
  • Develop shell scripts other tooling to automate routine tasks and streamline application deployment and management.
  • Implement and manage containerized deployment pipelines for both local and cloud development and testing.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring and logging systems to enhance development, testing, and observability of applications.
  • Implement and improve test automation tool pipelines for speed, reliability, and reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with developer teams and project management to align DevOps strategies with organizational goals.
  • Document processes and procedures for application building, testing, and deployment.
Qualifications:
  • Must have at least 10+ years of experience in Devops spanning across multiple tools and techniques
  • Proven experience in developing CI/CD processes for application building, testing, and deployment.
  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD or in-depth experience with multiple other CI/CD frameworks.
  • Strong experience developing software in multiple programming languages, JavaScript preferred, Elixir a plus.
  • Strong experience with containerized deployment tools and systems, Docker and Podman preferred, Kubernetes a plus.
  • Experience in implementing and configuring monitoring and logging systems, familiarity with Datadog a plus.
  • Experience with Cloud infrastructure deployment preferred, Azure experience a plus.
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks, familiarity with Cypress a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively articulating technical concepts and best practices to both technical and non-technical team members.
