Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Front-End React Framework Developer with Backend Python Experience to join our dynamic team within Global Trading, specifically products and feedstocks commodity trading, at ExxonMobil. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of both front-end and backend development, with a strong emphasis on creating and maintaining scalable, high-performance applications. This role requires a professional who can seamlessly integrate into our team, contributing to the development of innovative solutions that drive our trading operations. The contract will be for one year. The candidate will be required to work in our office located in Spring, TX.

Required Skills and Qualifications Technical Proficiency:
Required industry experience: experience supporting front & mid offices of Banks, Hedge funds or Commodity /Energy Trading business unit
• Advanced experience in front-end development using React, along with strong skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Proficient in backend development with Python (including Pandas and ETL workflows) and Node.js, or similar technologies.
• Skilled in working with relational and non-relational databases, such as SQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Familiar with cloud platforms, especially Azure, with working knowledge of AWS and Google Cloud.
• Exhibits strong soft skills, including the ability to interact confidently with traders and analysts, capture their needs, and provide timely and effective support.
• Effective collaboration with product owners, developers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solution
• Experienced in version control and CI/CD pipelines using Git and automation tools.
• Capable of developing and maintaining modern web applications, ensuring code quality, performance, and maintainability.Preferred Qualifications• Proven expertise in SQL and database management systems, with a strong grasp of data modeling, indexing, and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and Snowflake platforms.
• Skilled in designing and maintaining scalable data ingestion pipelines for both structured and unstructured data from diverse sources.
