A Full Stack Developer with relocation is a software engineer skilled in both front-end and back-end development who is open to or required to move to a new city or country for a job. These professionals are proficient in various technologies and frameworks, allowing them to work on the entire technology stack of a web application. Relocation support from employers may include assistance with visas, housing, and settling into the new location. This role is ideal for candidates seeking new career opportunities and experiences abroad or in a different region.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a full stack developer with relocation?

To thrive as a Full Stack Developer with relocation, you need strong proficiency in front-end and back-end programming languages (such as JavaScript, Python, or Java), frameworks, and a solid understanding of software development principles, often supported by a degree in computer science or equivalent experience. Familiarity with tools like Git, CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and frameworks like React, Node.js, or Django is typically required, along with experience in working with databases. Excellent problem-solving, adaptability, and cross-cultural communication skills are crucial, especially when transitioning to a new country or team. These skills and qualities enable you to effectively build and maintain scalable applications while integrating smoothly into new work environments.

Many companies provide relocation support, such as temporary housing and guidance for local logistics, to ease the transition. During onboarding, you'll likely participate in orientation sessions and team introductions to help you acclimate to the company culture and workflows. Collaboration is highly valued in full stack development, so you'll be encouraged to engage with cross-functional teams early on, which helps you build relationships and understand project expectations. Embracing open communication and seeking mentorship from colleagues can greatly enhance your integration and set you up for long-term success.

We are seeking a skilled Full-Stack Developer with strong Angular expertise to design, develop, test, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performing web applications. This role will focus heavily on front-end development using Angular while also contributing to back-end services, APIs, database development, and system integrations.

The Full-Stack Developer will report directly to the Full-Stack Lead and collaborate with product managers, business analysts, quality-assurance engineers, database administrators, and other members of the technology team.

Experience in the healthcare, managed-care, or health-insurance industry is preferred. Familiarity with EZ-CAP or a similar healthcare claims-administration platform is also highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise web applications using Angular.
  • Build reusable, responsive, accessible, and high-performing Angular components.
  • Develop and maintain Angular modules, services, directives, pipes, forms, guards, and routing.
  • Implement complex user interfaces based on business and technical requirements.
  • Integrate Angular applications with RESTful APIs and back-end services.
  • Manage application state using Angular services, RxJS, NgRx, or similar state-management approaches.
  • Develop reactive forms with validation, error handling, and dynamic business rules.
  • Write clean, secure, efficient, and maintainable TypeScript, HTML, SCSS, and JavaScript code.
  • Optimize Angular applications for performance, scalability, accessibility, and browser compatibility.
  • Create and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for Angular components and services.
  • Build and support server-side applications, APIs, business logic, background processes, and system integrations.
  • Design and develop database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, indexes, and database scripts.
  • Develop data-access components and integrate applications with Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases.
  • Analyze query execution plans and resolve database performance issues.
  • Support database migrations, schema changes, data validation, and deployment scripts.
  • Maintain data integrity, security, transaction management, and error-handling standards.
  • Troubleshoot front-end, back-end, API, database, integration, and application-performance issues.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards and architectural guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Full-Stack Lead on technical designs, development estimates, sprint planning, and issue resolution.
  • Translate functional and technical requirements into reliable software solutions.
  • Maintain technical documentation for application components, APIs, database structures, integrations, and deployment processes.
  • Support production deployments, application releases, incident resolution, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Follow organizational privacy, security, accessibility, and regulatory requirements throughout the software-development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Three or more years of professional full-stack or front-end software-development experience.

  • Understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, and user-interface best practices.
  • Experience with Angular testing tools such as Jasmine, Karma, Jest, or Cypress.
  • Experience using Git or another source-control platform.
  • Experience with one or more back-end technologies, such as:
    • C# and .NET
    • Java and Spring Boot
    • Node.js
    • Python
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
  • Ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, indexes, and database scripts.
  • Experience with relational database design, normalization, transactions, constraints, and referential integrity.
  • Experience troubleshooting database performance using execution plans, indexing strategies, and query optimization.
  • Experience integrating applications with Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL through an ORM or database-access framework.
  • Understanding of database migrations, schema versioning, backup considerations, and production deployment practices.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, data structures, and application architecture.
