Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices - Fullstack Engineer

Position Overview

At Mavis, we are continuously dedicated to delivering high-quality products to our 20,000+ employees and 3,000+ company-owned and franchised locations. Here you will be developing modern software for our stores. You would work closely with other engineers and our product management team, as well as regularly work on-site with other departments to ensure our software is scalable and meets business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Work with our engineers and business leaders to learn our existing software
  • Develop and maintain features and bug fixes in a React and Node.js codebase
  • Build RESTful endpoints to interact with 3rd party APIs and Microsoft SQL Server
  • Participate in code reviews and other Agile ceremonies
  • Write clean and maintainable code that follows our technical guidelines

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a full stack engineer or similar position
  • Proficiency in Javascript, Typescript, React, and Node
  • Experience with Git or an equivalent version control system
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs and microservices
  • BA degree in related subject or equivalent work experience
  • Proven experience building web applications, APIs, and SQL stored procedures
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus
