Responsibilities:
• This particular role holds responsibility for the commerce live site experience
• driving performance enhancements, production fixes and quick impacts
• Maintain a strong culture of innovation, creativity, and fun -Be completely responsible for the delivery of the committed features -Provide leadership and mentor in engineering best practices
• Responsible for ensuring stability and performance of the products are best in class. This includes accountability for performance, availability management and capacity planning
• Communicate and translate vision/strategy to staff. Responsible for executing on functional and business goals for the group -Must be a strong technical decision maker
• Responsible for solving highly technical and complex problems for several programs and projects -Leads the implementation of rigorous engineering excellence process and platform improvement initiatives
• Passionate about the customer experience, and ensure every visit is a great experience
Qualifications:
Required:
• 10+ years of relevant work experience leading engineering teams and most of this focused eCommerce Software Development – including testing, designing, and developing complex enterprise applications (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT)
• Good communication skills, including the ability to convey technical information effectively to both IT and business audiences
• Experience leading small and large organizations
• eCommerce specific industry knowledge and experience in software engineering
• Strong organizational planning and development, business judgment, technical leadership, and communication skills
• Working knowledge of the sales and the sales processes
• Expertise in most of the following –Web API (MS ASP.Net), MVC, WCF, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, SOAP, REST, JQuery, .Net Framework, C#, Web Services
• Practical knowledge of object oriented programming
• Ability to work across multiple simultaneous product development efforts and programs
