Highland Homes is currently accepting resumes for a Full-Stack Developer position. The Full-Stack Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining customer-centric websites and applications that provide an exceptional customer experience. The Developer will be proficient at managing multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritizing and multi-tasking between immediate priorities and long-term objectives. Primary responsibilities include maintaining and improving functional aspects of the company’s websites and digital applications, including front-end applications, back-end integrations, database design and optimization, XML feeds and more.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contribute to the design, development and maintenance of front-end solutions, back-end services, and databases powering multiple customer-facing websites and applications
  • Consistently create well-designed, tested, quality code using best practices
  • Contribute to continual improvement by suggesting enhancements for functionality, architecture and user experience
  • Communicate with project teams to update on progress/status
  • Deliver solutions in a timely manner
  • Provide support and troubleshooting assistance for websites and apps developed by the team
  • Set & follow corporate standards for development practices
  • Work cohesively with other team members, both technical and non-technical
  • Other duties as assigned


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience (7+ years with high school diploma) required
  • 3+ years of full-stack development in a PHP / LAMP environment (back-end, front-end and some server management) required
  • 3+ years experience with database development using MySQL or similar required
  • 1+ years experience developing with Vue.js or other front-end framework (Angular, React, etc.) required
  • Excellent front-end skills, including HTML, CSS preprocessors and modern JavaScript required
  • Expertise in source control, code review and repository management with git or similar required
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs required
  • Experience developing native/hybrid mobile applications preferred
  • Laravel experience preferred
  • XML experience preferred
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to function well in a self-directed, team-oriented environment
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
