Job description

Knowledge/Skill Requirements
  • Experienced in implementing and supporting an Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) / Oracle Business Intelligence Analytics (OBIA) Data Warehouse for Procurement and Spend, Supply chain and Order Management and Finance (AP/AR/GL), Project Analytics in the role of business analyst / developer. Customer facing position.
  • Understanding of the entire OBIEE application stack.
  • Comfortable working with DAC, ODI and Informatica Power center in an OBIEE 11g/12c environment.
  • Be able to support for the Technical DAC and Informatica Powercenter primary resource.
  • Ability to implement the OBIEE 'out of the box' reports and extending those reports in accordance to business needs.
  • Ability to create custom enterprise reports and dashboards.
  • Ability to develop and maintain the OBIEE repository.
  • Ability to determine, develop and document validation plans. This requirement is for data as well as reports.
  • Ability to do OBIEE reporting user training for their Answers and 'My Dashboard'.
  • Ability to drive obtaining OBIEE security requirements as well as guide the users with recommendations. Turn requirements to technical specifications and facilitate development and implementation.
  • Ability to work with the business users and develop domain value mappings and/or modifications.
  • Possess strong skills in working with business areas to document reporting requirements and recommend reporting solutions.
  • Ability to communicate and document clearly requirements, process flows and development specifications. Ability to work within a structured project design and development methodology.
  • Experienced in Oracle database data access / SQL.
  • Key skill on UNIX based operating system to administer Informatica, DAC and OBIEE.
  • Knowledge of Oracle EBS modules.
  • Ability to work with Oracle support in troubleshooting issues with OBIEE data and functionality.
  • Dedication, teamwork, and commitment to quality are essential.
  • A strong customer-oriented focus and desire to achieve results
  • Good written & oral communication and presentation skills in English.
  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills based on strong functional and technical knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently as well as being part of a team.
  • Ability to learn quickly.

Education/Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in in Computer Science, Systems Analysis, or related field. Experience may be substituted for degree.
  • Minimum 6 years (4 years for Master's degree) of direct work experience in OBIEE or Siebel Analytics. The experience should include:
  • 4 years of direct work experience in Informatica and DAC.
  • At least 1 full cycle implementations in BI Apps 11.x or higher.
  • 4 years of experience in AOL, SQL, PL/SQL and TOAD.
  • 3 years of experience working with Oracle ERP data source.
