Location: Charlotte, North Carolina (Hybrid)
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Full Stack Developer to join our Online Banking, Mobile Web, and API Engineering team. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting scalable, secure, and highly available digital solutions that serve millions of clients across our web, mobile web, and API platforms. The ideal candidate is passionate about building modern customer experiences, developing robust backend services, and driving engineering excellence through automation, testing, and cloud-native development practices.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy full stack applications supporting Online Banking and Mobile Web platforms.
  • Build and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and microservices using Java-based technologies.
  • Develop responsive and accessible web applications using modern front-end frameworks.
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, UX designers, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality digital experiences.
  • Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
  • Implement secure coding practices and ensure compliance with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Create automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to improve software quality and reliability.
  • Monitor application performance and proactively address scalability, resiliency, and availability concerns.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and support releases across lower and production environments.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives leveraging AI-assisted development tools, DevOps practices, and automation.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Experience: 5+ years of full stack development experience.
Technical Skills:
  • Strong hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using Java.
  • Experience with Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Microservices Architecture, SQL/Oracle, NoSQL databases, and Git-based source control.
  • Strong front-end development experience using Angular, React, or similar frameworks, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Experience with DevOps & Automation including Git, Jenkins, CI/CD Pipelines, SonarQube, Test Automation, and OpenShift / Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Cloud & Architecture including Cloud-native Development, Containerization, API Security, Distributed Systems, and Event-driven Architecture.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and test-driven development.
  • Understanding of secure application development principles.

Additional Skills: Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting large-scale consumer-facing digital platforms.
  • Experience with Online Banking, Mobile Banking, or Financial Services applications.
  • Knowledge of API Gateway technologies and API lifecycle management.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as OpenShift, Kubernetes, Azure, or AWS.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with event-driven architecture and messaging platforms such as Kafka.
  • Experience with performance engineering and observability tools.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted development tools.
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum environments.
