Senior Full Stack Developer, React & Python

Available for the following offices: Houston, On-site

WebCreek is looking for a Full Stack Developer with strong experience in Python and React to help build, maintain, and support modern enterprise applications. This role is ideal for a developer who can work across both backend and frontend development, with a strong focus on API development, database-driven applications, application reliability, and scalable user interfaces.

You will work with technologies including Python, React, RESTful APIs, SQL databases, cloud platforms, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, and related development tools to build reliable software solutions that support complex business and operational needs.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications using Python and React.
  • Build efficient, reusable, and reliable backend code with strong focus on API implementation and RESTful services.
  • Develop high-performance APIs and support database queries, integrations, and data-driven functionality.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and improve existing applications across frontend, backend, database, and deployment layers.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including UX designers, project managers, QA analysts, technical leads, developers, and business stakeholders.
  • Participate in technical discussions and help define practical solutions based on project requirements.
  • Support production applications by identifying issues, debugging problems, and contributing to long-term system stability.
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, automation, performance, scalability, and application reliability.
  • Take ownership of assigned features and issues from development through delivery and production support.

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, especially API implementation and RESTful API development.
  • Strong experience building frontend applications with React.
  • Experience working with SQL databases, preferably Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience deploying, supporting, and troubleshooting applications in production environments.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions.
  • Ability to take ownership, propose solutions, and follow through without needing constant direction.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail, teamwork, and a proactive mindset.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves):

  • Experience with .NET Framework.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Time Series Databases.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience supporting data-intensive or backend-heavy enterprise applications.
  • Experience improving application performance, scalability, reliability, or maintainability.
  • Experience supporting business-critical applications in production.
  • Experience working in Oil & Gas, Energy, Industrial, or enterprise technology environments.

What You’ll Gain:

  • Full-time position in a quickly growing company.
  • Competitive salary with regular reviews.
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan and comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays.
  • In-house IT training and certifications through WebCreek University.
  • Flexible work environment within a diverse, international team.
  • Wellness programs and exclusive “workcation” opportunities for top performers.

Location: On-site in Houston, TX. (Relocation candidates are encouraged to apply)
