About the Role
As a Full Stack Java Developer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and delivering scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and React.js technologies. You will be a valued member of the application development team and work collaboratively with architects, product owners, business stakeholders, and distributed delivery teams to build high-quality digital solutions.
In This Role, You Will:
  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, React.js, and related technologies.
  • Build, enhance, and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices that support business-critical applications.
  • Perform hands-on coding, debugging, testing, code reviews, and application performance optimization.
  • Provide technical guidance to offshore development teams by resolving technical challenges and supporting successful delivery.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Follow best practices for code quality, security, testing, and software development lifecycle processes.
  • Contribute to AI chatbot and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) initiatives when applicable.

Work Model
We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week onsite and 2 days remote at a client or Cognizant office in one of the following locations:
  • Hopkins, Minnesota
  • Irving, Texas

What You Need to Have to Be Considered
  • 8+ years of experience in full stack application development with strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, React.js, and enterprise application development.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Java application development using Spring Boot.
  • Proven experience developing full-stack applications with React.js, Redux, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Experience designing, developing, and integrating RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Strong understanding of software development best practices, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks and code quality standards.
  • Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
  • Ability to analyze requirements, design technical solutions, and work independently.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with onsite and offshore teams.

These Will Help You Stand Out
  • Experience implementing AI Chatbots and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
  • Exposure to Generative AI technologies and Large Language Model (LLM) integrations.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application deployments.
  • Experience mentoring developers and leading technical discussions.

Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is $81,337 - $136,500 depending on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
In addition to salary, this position may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and other compensation programs based on individual and company performance.
