Job description

Fortinet is seeking a talented Full Stack Software Developer to join our FortiGuard team in Burnaby. This individual will be primarily working on building our internal systems within Fortiguard Labs.  This work will consist of building data processing pipelines and building web interfaces to streamline day to day tasks.  The ideal candidate will have some knowledge of Python programming, a strong background in networking, and will be eager to learn new things.  As this job will be within the Fortiguard Labs, an interest in computer security is highly desired.

Required skills:

  • Experience with Python and software development methodology

  • Experience with one or more Web development frameworks

  • Experience with Linux platforms

  • Experience with network protocols

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Desired skills:

  • Experience with one or more databases

  • Experience with Golang

  • Experience with Django

  • Experience with Zeek

  • Experience with Suricata

Educational qualifications:

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $117,500 - $143,700 annually.  Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level.  Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
