Job description

Hardware Test Engineer - (Medical Device Equipment)
  • Location: 100% ONSITE - Kalamazoo, MI (49002)
  • Type: W2 contract (C2C OR THIRD PARTY arrangements will NOT be considered)
  • Pay Rate: $45 - $51/hour
  • Duration: 9 month contract (Estimated to end 2/27; contract extension potential)
 

We’re hiring a Hardware Test Engineer with hands-on IEC 60601-1 product safety compliance experience. Play a key role planning, executing, and automating test strategies across the entire product lifecycle—from prototype through production.

Your Impact:
  • Own comprehensive test planning and execution for electronic hardware (with a focus on PCB assemblies)
  • Develop, maintain, and automate test setups ensuring medical device safety and reliability
  • Lead IEC 60601-1 compliance and regulatory testing, leveraging tools like HIPOT and Electrical Safety Analyzers
  • Partner with hardware, firmware, quality, and manufacturing teams to deliver high-performing and compliant products
  • Document test procedures, results, failure analysis, and corrective actions
  • Support design verification (DVT), production validation (PVT), and manufacturing bring-up activities
What You’ll Bring:
  • IEC 60601-1 compliance testing experience (required)
  • Medical device background preferred; regulated industry OK with strong IEC 60601-1 skills
  • US/EU regulatory understanding and advanced test equipment operation
  • Board-level hardware testing and troubleshooting skills
