Soccer Head Coach

Head Coach – We Make Footballers Raleigh Academy

Job Type: Part-time
Schedule: Fridays 6:00–7:00 PM; Saturdays 9:00–11:00 AM; Sundays 4:00–6:00 PM
Pay: $55.00–$65.00 per session

We Make Footballers USA LLC is part of the UK’s leading football (soccer) development academy, welcoming players aged 4–12 of all abilities. We deliver high-quality training for young athletes, focusing on skill development, confidence, and a love for the game in a safe, fun, and structured environment.

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Coach to lead our Raleigh academy’s weekly sessions. The ideal candidate will have a strong soccer coaching background, leadership skills, and a commitment to creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment for young players.

Each full academy session requires approximately 2.5 hours of the coach’s time. This includes:

  • Arriving approximately 15–20 minutes before the first class for setup
  • Delivering two one-hour classes
  • Coaching the first class for players aged 4–7
  • Coaching the second class for players aged 8–12
  • Cleaning up and properly storing all equipment after the classes

Key Responsibilities

  • Arrive at the location 15–20 minutes before the scheduled start time.
  • Set up goalposts, soccer balls, cones, bibs, and other required coaching equipment.
  • Lead and oversee high-quality, enjoyable weekly coaching sessions.
  • Deliver two age-appropriate one-hour classes for players aged 4–7 and 8–12.
  • Follow the We Make Footballers curriculum while adapting activities to the players’ ages and abilities.
  • Plan and deliver training focused on skill development, teamwork, confidence, and sportsmanship.
  • Manage and mentor assistant coaches, helping them improve and progress as coaches.
  • Provide players with clear instruction, encouragement, and individualized feedback.
  • Maintain control of the session and create a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants by following company safety standards and coaching guidelines.
  • Communicate professionally with parents and guardians regarding player development and session-related questions.
  • After the classes, disassemble the goalposts, collect all soccer balls, and return cones, bibs, and other equipment to the correct storage location.
  • Ensure that the training area is clean and that no equipment is left behind.
