This positionmanages customer project efforts and deliversexceptional customer service throughout the lifecycle of complex projects lasting approximately 6 months or longer.The individual in this positionis an exceptional representative of Red River andmaintainsthe highest standards of professionalism, attention to detail, and responsiveness to customer requests. They arethe main point of contact for our customers and manage the day-to-day activities relating to the customer projects asrequired, including planning, coordination, scheduling, and execution of customer project requirements. Completing projects on time, on budget, and with exceptional customer satisfaction is theTechnical Program Manager'scharter. Additionally, this positioninterfaces withand manages the customer stakeholder team on all assigned projects andmaintainsa team schedule.This position acts as the primary technical and programmatic interface across multiple programs and projects, of varying size and scope.

Primary Position Tasks:

  • Manage the project throughout its life cycle based oncustomer definedrequirements and processes.

  • Develop andmaintaina detailedproject plans to include establishing timelines and building budgets.

  • Report on progress and provide regular updates to upper management.

  • Work with other departments to ensure that projectobjectivesare achieved within establishedtimeframes.

  • Coordinate between customer contacts, team resources, direct team members, partners, subcontractors, and project stakeholders on all aspects of a project.

  • Manage partners or subcontractors throughout the lifecycle of the project.

  • Manage the budget on projects by reporting burn rates and trackingutilizationto keep projects within assigned budget allocation.

  • Provide detailed reporting to management on the development of projects.

  • Translate metrics into actionable, meaningful intelligence.

  • Centralize all project documents (hard and soft copies) in theappropriate datastores per the guidance from the customer.Provide detailed reporting to management on the development of projects.

  • Manage expectations and track risks and benefits.

  • Communicate and gather required documentation on the project.

  • Quickly and efficiently document status, actionitemsand update project documents.

  • Lead meetings and manage the attendees to control topics and agenda compliance.

  • Create presentations and deliver content in a highly effective and professional manner.

  • Develop andmaintainstandard operating processes.

  • Maintain industry certifications asrequired.

  • Support cost center growthefforts by directlyidentifyingnew business opportunities and driving pipeline development across tangential and organic market segments.

But the real key is the ability to use that plan to manage progress and communicate effectively as the project progresses.

  • Effective communication.This means opening the loop between the project manager and the project team, between all team members, and among the project manager and the organization's leadership and other internal and external stakeholders.The communicationmust be multidirectional, and be effective, whether written,verbalor nonverbal. While actions speak louder than words, communication is key to knowing what those actions should be and when they should be completed.

  • Scope control.Scope changes are inevitable and will alter a project's scope.Needto control the scope as much as possible. All involved with the project must understand that a change in scope has implications on the project's cost,scheduleand the quality of theend product.

  • Consistentmethodology.This stems from the ability toleveragethe knowledge gained from prior projects. Prior practice creates a consistent terminology and provides experiences to draw from. Moreover, creating consistency allows project managers to better set and manage stakeholder expectations, sincethey'llbe more comfortable as to what shouldbe happeningthroughout the process.

Minimum Education/Certification/Experience Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in the project manager field or in a related area

  • Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph

  • Bachelor-level degree in management or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications

  • Experience with collaboration tools such asTeamsand/ orWebEx

  • Familiar with a variety of thefield'sconcepts, practices, and procedures.

Preferred Education/Certification/Experience:

  • PMP Certification ormaster's degree in project management

  • AWS,Azureor GCP Cloud Certification

Knowledge,Skillsand Abilities:

  • Proficient with SharePoint, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MSProjectand MS Visio
