Job description

Join a collaborative anesthesia team at a respected Michigan hospital providing care across a full patient demographic from pediatrics to geriatrics. This is a supervised CRNA role with a strong focus on general surgical cases and opportunities to engage in neurosurgical procedures and spinal anesthesia.

Emergency privelages are being requested. Please note in the submission which dates the provider can work. This is an ONGOING need. We have the following gaps in the schedule where we will need to close 1-3 rooms: • May 12: -1 CRNA • May 14: -3 CRNAs • May 19: -2 CRNAs • May 20: -2 CRNAs • May 21: -3 CRNAs Next schedule, we have critical weekend coverage gaps where no second CRNA (16-hour call) is currently signed up: • June 5 • June 13 • June 21 • June 28 • July 9.

Job Description

  • Administer anesthesia for general surgical procedures for both adult and pediatric patients
  • Provide anesthesia care for neurosurgical cases, ensuring proper management of neurological status pre- and post-procedure
  • Perform spinal anesthesia and local infiltration anesthesia as required by surgical procedures
  • Manage ventilation and monitor respiratory status throughout the surgical process
  • Deliver anesthesia under direct supervision in a collaborative environment with anesthesiologists and surgical teams
  • Maintain continuous patient monitoring throughout the perioperative phase (pre-op, intra-op, and post-op)
  • Utilize Epic EMR for all documentation and anesthesia records
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedural protocols, and safety standards
  • 32-40hrs/week (8s or 10s). Work either Monday or Friday every week.
  • No on-call duties required (strictly scheduled shifts)
  • Operate within a hospital-based setting designated as a Level II Trauma Center
  • Contribute to a daily volume of approximately 50 surgical cases
  • Work alongside a team in multiple operating rooms, with rotating assignments based on need
  • Respond to emergencies and provide airway management, including intubation if needed
Submission Requirements
  • Board Certified CRNA - REQUIRED
  • Active MI license - REQUIRED
  • Clean Background- REQUIRED
  • Self-Query NPDB (Should be pulled within the month) - REQUIRED , required at the time of presentation.
  • ACLS & BLS through AHA - REQUIRED
  • PALS - REQUIRED
  • Must have 1 year CRNA experience - REQUIRED
  • No job gaps- REQUIRED
Provider must be able to work a minimum of 32 hours, and have either Monday or Friday availability every week - REQUIRED
