This role is rooted in a predominantly remote setting, allowing flexibility for both the counselor and clients. However, our outpatient office in Springfield will serve as the physical site for essential meetings, team collaboration, and occasional client appointments. The practice emphasizes a collegial atmosphere where counselors can collaborate and share best practices to improve therapeutic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver therapeutic counseling sessions to adults, families, and groups using established mental health, psychological, and human development theories.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify mental health challenges, followed by the establishment of personalized treatment plans that meet individual client needs.
  • Facilitate psychoeducation sessions to foster understanding of mental health conditions and empower clients to manage symptoms effectively.
  • Participate in case conferences and team meetings to collaboratively review treatment plans and share insights regarding patient progress.
  • Offer outreach and follow-up services to ensure continuity of care for clients, especially throughout transitional phases of treatment.
  • Develop and implement individualized discharge and aftercare plans when clients are ready to transition from therapy, ensuring ongoing support post-treatment.
  • Maintaining thorough and accurate clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, to uphold compliance with organizational policies and state regulations.
  • Regularly evaluate treatment efficacy, adjusting approaches based on ongoing assessments and feedback from clients and their families.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary clientele consists of adults experiencing a range of emotional and behavioral issues, including anxiety, depression, interpersonal conflicts, and trauma. Our counselors work collaboratively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, valuing unique life experiences and cultural perspectives in the therapeutic process.

Qualifications
  • A full and unrestricted licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts, in good standing.
  • A minimum of three years of professional experience in mental health counseling or a related field.
  • A Masterโ€™s degree or higher from an accredited institution in psychology, counseling, social work, or a closely related field.
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to manage time effectively; adaptability to a remote working environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a proactive approach to receiving feedback and continuous improvement.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in providing counseling to diverse populations, including children and families.
  • Proficiency in a variety of therapeutic modalities and interventions.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and tools, enhancing service delivery in a remote setting.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $101,000 based on experience and productivity.
  • Comprehensive benefits package that includes a sign-on bonus, healthcare plans, and retirement options.
  • Annual Long-Term Stock Incentive Plan that allows for a stake in our organizationโ€™s success.
  • Extensive professional development and training opportunities to expand your counseling skills and methodologies.
  • Full-time W-2 employment with additional incentives based on client outcomes and productivity.

At Growing Health Counseling Center, we believe in nurturing the professional growth of our staff. Counselors have opportunities to advance to senior clinical positions or to specialize in particular therapeutic areas. We support ongoing education and professional development through workshops, seminars, and access to resources that keep our team updated on the latest best practices in mental health counseling.
