Job description

The Short Order Selector is responsible for pulling products in an accurate and timely manner for customers who order products in smaller quantities (by each, by pound, or by half case). The Short Order Selector is also responsible for loading the “short orders” on to a pallet in an accurate and timely manner for customers.

Job Functions:

  • Pulling, labeling, and re packaging broken case by measuring, weighing, and counting products and materials.
  • Inspecting completed orders to ensure that all product items have been pulled.
  • Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
  • Cleaning the warehouse area including sweeping and removal of any boxes
  • Minimum lift requirement 50-60 lbs on a regular basis
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-5 years direct order pulling experience preferably in the produce industry
  • Advanced warehouse distribution and advanced produce knowledge
  • Flexibility and adaptable to change in work assignments and priorities
  • Must be a self-starter, assertive – decision maker, forward thinker, and problem solver
  • Must be comfortable working in refrigerated environment
  • Bilingual preferred
