Salary: $24.50- $25.60

SUMMARY

The mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money.  Meat assistant manager must possess reasonable knowledge in storing, preparing, and maintaining product, as well as demonstrate competency in, inventory control, ordering and receiving product. Strong organizational skills, as well as prioritizing multiple tasks are required. Assistant meat manager is responsible for setting an example in providing attentive and courteous customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide Remarkable Customer Service when attending to customer needs
  • Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding Meat operations, safety, and sanitation
  • Assist in the fulfillment of weekly product orders while adhering to store policies in order to maintain adequate supply levels
  • Assist in the achievement of financial goals such as sales, gross profit maximization, as well as minimization of shrink and supply expense
  • Enforce a Clean as you go policy to ensure sanitary work conditions
  • Adhere to company policy through proper processing, preparation, and packaging of product
  • Follow all store procedure and Shrink guidelines with respect to conversions, markdowns and discards of meat products
  • Training and development of meat department associates
  • Complete all necessary paperwork relating to Meat Department (i.e. KLT, SIR380)
  • Ensure proper temperatures are maintained in cooler, prep area, freezer, and cases and are in working condition
  • Take direction from the meat department manager and act in his or her place when absent
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be at least 18 years of age 
  • Certified Meat Cutter
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
  • Possess basic computer skills
  • Possess strong communication skills
