Job description

SMT Programming Engineer

We are seeking an experienced SMT Programming Engineer to support a growing electronics manufacturing operation. This position will be responsible for SMT programming, process optimization, and production support for complex PCB assemblies.

Requirements

• 8-10+ years of SMT programming experience
• Must come directly from an electronics manufacturing or PCB manufacturing environment (no exceptions)
• Strong SMT and PCB assembly experience
• Experience with Fuji SMT equipment and programming software
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing documentation, assembly drawings, BOMs, and CAD data
• Strong understanding of SMT manufacturing processes and industry standards

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and maintain SMT programs for PCB assembly production
• Support machine setup, component libraries, and production changeovers
• Troubleshoot programming and equipment-related issues on the manufacturing floor
• Improve production efficiency, quality, and throughput
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation and work instructions
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to support new and existing products
• Drive continuous process improvements and best practices throughout SMT operations

Preferred

• Experience supporting high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments
• Knowledge of automated inspection systems and related manufacturing technologies
• Experience supporting new product introductions (NPI)
