 R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for an Assistant Fuel Project Manager at our Wilmington, OH Service Center. 

 Responsibilities:

  • Follows the fuel station construction process to ensure that it is completed on time;
  • Support and advise Construction Project Managers during fuel projects;
  • Liaise with government inspectors on the standard requirements of the site in terms of licenses and safety;
  • Serve as a liaison between the Project Manager, Fuel Systems Manager, and Fuel Systems Director for multiple projects;
  • Supervises the subcontractors and ensures that they are punctual and that they deliver;
  • Being on site to oversee all the construction process, anywhere in the United States;
  • Ensuring that both the health and safety project plans are implemented;
  • Writing daily project progress reports;
  • Ensure that quality is preserved in the construction process and that the budget is maintained;
  • Proactively identify design deficiencies, schedule concerns, and other project specific issues;
  • Ensure the jobsite meets OSHA Safety standards;
  • Scheduling;
  • Manage General Contractor and or sub-contractors;
  • Participate with the project team in pre-project planning sessions, estimating, sub-contractor selection, and scheduling.
  • Organize and document project meetings, decisions, and action items

  • Computer skills: proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook and project scheduling programs;

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with ability and willingness to face challenges, direct others, and effectively address conflict;
  • Delegate work appropriately;
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills;
  • Familiarity with requirements of drawings and specifications and with terms and conditions of Project Contracts, subcontracts and change orders, etc.
  • Must work well in a strong team environment.
